Computer Tips & Tricks Windows – To copy a file or folder anywhere, select the file(s) or folder(s), depress your CTRL key on your keyboard and drag to the new location! Internet – You can specify which program Windows uses for your Internet Services.  Open Internet Explorer, choose Tools, Internet Options. Click the Programs tab and set your defaults. Word – Tired of your CAP LOCK key causing you to type the wrong case.  Don’t retype.  Select the text and choose Format, Change Case and choose Sentence case, lowercase, UPPERCASE, Title Case, and tOGGLE cASE.  Excel – To automatically resize the column width to fit the text, place your cursor over the right column boundary on the column header. When you see the double headed arrow, double click your left mouse button. To resize several columns at once, simply highlight them all. PowerPoint – Liven up your presentations - change the background of one or all your slides. Choose Format, Background. Click on the background fill drop down button.  Choose More Colors or Fill Effects and have fun with the choices. To apply to all, click Apply to All.  To apply to only the slide you have selected, choose Apply.
