Computer Training for Cats and Employees
A beautiful cat was trotting down the street one day and saw a sign in an auto parts store window,"Parts Clerk Wanted". Inside, the cat looked at the man behind the counter and wagged her tail. Then she walked over to the sign, looked at it, and meowed.
Getting the idea, the parts clerk showed her into the office, and the owner soon found himself sitting across the desk from a cat. "I can't hire you," the owner said. “You have to be able to type 50 WPM."
The cat jumped out of the chair, went to the computer, and started typing. In a few minutes, the cat printed out a well-typed letter and jumped back up on the chair. The owner was stunned, and then said, “You must also have good computer skills."
The cat went back to the computer. This time, the cat constructed a spreadsheet that could project the store's earnings and expenditures for a year. The manager was dumb-founded! He looked at the cat and said, "You are a very intelligent cat and have some amazing abilities. Where did you learn your excellent computer skills?”
The cat went back to the computer, and typed in bold letters, Executive Training Resources. The owner had one more problem. “Sorry,” he said, “but we need someone who is bilingual."
The cat looked at the manager and calmly said, "Woof, Woof."
When confronted with a decision, like the owner of the store, especially if it has to do with training for your employees:
- Develop the alertness to notice what is happening around the office
- If it looks like a cat, smells like a cat, and eats cat food, could mean it’s a computer expert
- Use your creativity to make adjustments as necessary
- Realize that you have the wisdom to eliminate non-options
These habits will help you make the best decisions for your employees. Employee training will also save your company time and money by educating your employees to become peak performers. Let Executive Training Resources help you be the best manager you can be!
