Overview: In this course students learn how to plan and manage a wide range of projects. They will learn to meet crucial deadlines and budgets, select the right resource, with an easier and more intuitive experience with Project 2010 to help the student be more productive and realize better results.
Student will learn to:
- Create Project 2010 plans at the level of detail that is right for their projects
- Work with summary data initially or shift to a more detailed approach when it is convenient
- Control what tasks Project 2010 can schedule automatically or that the student will schedule manually
- Manage tasks, costs, work, and resources at whatever level of detail is appropriate for their project needs
- Display a Project 2010 plan in a variety of views
- Apply grouping, highlighting, sorting, and filtering to view the data the way the student or requester desires
- Track and manage your project plan throughout project execution
- Collaborate and share data with others in your organization using a variety of productivity applications
- Use resource pools, consolidated projects, and cross-project links to extend the project management focus across multiple projects.
Course Duration: 3 days training (9am - 5pm)
Prerequisites: Knowledge of how to use the Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint or Access)
