Macros

Overview:

The ultimate in automation is to reduce your common, repetitive tasks to a single command called a macro that you can invoke with a click of a mouse or the press of a key. In this lesson you will learn how to automate common Word tasks by using Macros.

As a proficient Word user, you may begin to find that there are tasks specific to your work flow that you perform over and over again. Perhaps you apply the same custom paragraph style frequently, create the same customized headers and footers, or often set the same text wrapping properties on a picture you’ve inserted. It would be nice to perform those specialized tasks at the touch of a button. By automating the tasks you perform everyday, you can get more work done in less time.
